This sounds more like a server error than an Entourage error.I did think it was probably the server at one point, but if I delete the messages using the web mail interface, they never return, whereas no matter how many times I delete them in Entourage, they do return.
Are the messages similar?I must not have been clear – they’re identical. The same message will get downloaded multiple times. Btw, it never happens with messages that I do not have Entourage leave on the server (mailing list messages for instance) - those download once and then are gone.
There have been several reports of duplicates, but there is no fix that has worked for all sufferers.I keep hoping that someone will come up with a fix, because it’s really a pain to have to either delete the same set of messages several times or else go to the web mail in order to get them really deleted. I’m about at the stage of just never leaving anything on the server, but then I worry that somehow I’ll lose something.
