Except that VPC is far slower and more expensive than Classic. Under
Panther, I've found that some apps run in Classic more quickly than they ran
natively in OS 9. The main downside is the time spent waiting for the
Classic environment to launch, which is only about 30 seconds on my 600MHz
G3 iBook.
