It doesn't search the headers - it searches the already-resolved and indexed >From column as it appears in the Message List - that's how it's fast. The >From column contains only the Display Name, if there is one, not the email address. (Only if the sender does not include a display name - then it shows the email address.) The "From" column can be seen as such in the Preview Pane at Right view; in the new 3-column view, it's what's displayed as the top line of the 2-line display. Searching the message headers is somewhat slower (although in Entourage 2004 it's now pretty fast). To search for any part of the From header, including (any part of) the email address press option-command-F for Advanced Find. Switch the first Popup to <From>, leave the second on <Contains>. The text box will automatically have the email address of the selected message, or type whatever you want and press Find. It's really pretty fast, but not as fast as the QuickFilter. For finding the "To: field of sent messages, use the same Advanced Find on <Any Recipient> (includes Cc's and Bcc's as well as To) or <Any To Recipient>. (Don't forget messages can be To many people). -- Paul Berkowitz MVP MacOffice Entourage FAQ Page: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/index.html> AppleScripts for Entourage: <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/> PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using - **2004**, X or 2001.
