I use one of my own scripts that I saved as an applet. It just opens a new main window and sets it to the calendar view. It lives in my Dock. If I'm in some other app and need to make an appointment, I just click this icon in the Dock, and I'm in the Entourage calendar. I make my appointment, then close the window and I'm back at where Entourage was when I left off...
