That's very disturbing. A couple of years ago, John had a very serious stroke. He was offline for months, spent time in rehab. At the time, someone--his daughter, I believe--took the time to post notice of the situation to the list, and kept us posted about his condition. I was a list member back then; stopped using eMA a year or almost two ago, so I dropped off the list.
I hope he has not had a recurrence. But, given John's diligence in maintaining eMA, I'd be surprised if anything _but_ a serious illness would keep him away.
