For all intents and purposes, yes. What you've done is create a back up of
all the data in your Entourage database at that moment in time.

It's up to you to decide how often to do this, and how many copies to keep
for archival purposes.

Many of us go a different route, in that we have scripts that (often in the
middle of the night) quit both Entourage and the associated database daemon,
then create a copy of the entire MUD folder, then re-launch Entourage (which
automatically re-launches the database daemon.
