I admire your persistence.  I am still intrigued.

Googling "kana" led me to a company that provides email solutions for the
enterprise:

Unless there is a very strange coincidence here, the Paypal response is not
well-informed on this point.

In a few minutes looking, I couldn't find any mention of embedded graphics
(though I didn't get down-and-dirty and create an account with them so I
could see the demos...)  I could understand the attraction to the enterprise
(and thus to Kana) of attachment-blocker-proof and weblinkless graphics;  I
still don't see how to accomplish it without a special-purpose client on the
receiving end.

In general, I found Paypal's response non-responsive.  Like Remo, I'd like
to see the source.
