This goes off the topic a bit, but the entire post shows the problem with
html email.

I whole-heartedly disagree about nobody. I, and many others, fully dislike
HTML email. It's much harder to read. I often have to edit the mail in order
to make the characters readable, and I cannot follow who said what, wading
through all the indenting and colors and fonts. I see others losing track of
points too. I know I am not alone in this. HTML may be ok for a single hell
and maybe a top reply, but it's awful for threads.

I honestly cannot say that I love trying to read tiny print. Nor do I
appreciate the email one organization leader sends out: multicolored and
with a font so big that 6 words tops fit on my 15" screen set to 1280x854.
Here's a great work flow: double-click the message, hit Edit, type a space,
save - now I can read it. Great business.

I believe the fact is that most people simply use their apps with the
default settings. If HTML was not the default, many would not use it and it
would not occur to them to use it. Unfortunately, it has long been the
default in Outlook for Windows I saw brilliant IT folks not be able to find
a setting to change in in Exchange back in '99. I saw people stuck with, not
preferring, html.

Whatever you send to me, you get plain text back.

A slightly different result of html email is the html that yahoo groups puts
out. Try to select a phrase then reply. You cannot. It quotes the entire
message, ads and all. Horrid.
