I can partly answer my own question here as I've discovered that Message ->
Edit Message will convert the email into my default font (in this case,
Verdana) - so as a supplementary question is there an AppleScript already
out there, or that could be devised, or a way to use Rules, that could be
used so offending posters emails could be converted automatically?
