Actually, there no such thing as "OE 98". I assumed John meant "OE 5" (more
or less contemporaneous with Mac Office 98 - I think maybe Fall 1999). OE 5
did of course exist when Entourage 2001 was released two years later but, as
Diane says, there's no "Import Entourage" feature IN OE 5 since Entourage
didn't exist. Furthermore, OE can't import .mbox files even though Entouarge
2001 can export them (by dragging folders out).

So the only left must be: drag out individual messages from Entourage to a
Finder folder on the desktop (not safe to do more than about 1000 at a
time). This makes multiple .eml files. You _could_ drag those into OE, but
why not just drag them into a fresh Entourage identity? Much easier.

But if you can't open the bad Entouarge identity in the first place, this
won't work anyway.

Can John have possibly meant copying the "Messages" file from an Entourage
identity folder into an OE identity folder?? Wow - I can't imagine that
would be safe. It shouldn't cooperate with the Database file it's now linked
to, I wouldn't have thought.

PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using -
