Thanks for the quick response.  Checking further into the problem..
    The version she is using is Entourage 2004, v 10.1.4 SR 1
    (my mistake - I thought she was using Entourage X)

I will rebuild her database and will update it to the newest version as soon
as I get my hands on it (she will bring it to me on Thursday - she lives 2
hours away from me...)

Meanwhile, I now know that when she starts up entourage, she gets a message
that says " The action could not be completed. The file cannot be found."
That makes me believe that she might just need to rebuild her database.

So, I will update to version 11.1.0 of Entourage 2004, but I am still
wondering what is causing the problem and not sure an update will fix it, or
if I should do a reinstall of entourage.

Further advice would be most appreciated...
