It is not recommended that you rebuild your database as regular maintenance. Rebuilding should not be considered as a substitute for an adequate backup. You are encouraged to back up critical data on a regular basis.
You should rebuild the database:
1. If you have problems starting Entourage, or viewing, opening, and storing items. Entourage 2004 uses should use Verify in the new Database Utility.
2. Need to reclaim disk space..
