Entourage has no problem at all with Unicode. The problem is with the line
endings. TextEdit uses Unix line-feeds, which are not seen as line endings
by Entourage which uses traditional Mac carriage returns. Somewhere that
incompatibility might be messing up the Source code of the message.

But I suspect that one thing has nothing to do with the other. The message
would go out as Unicode, that's all.

The problem is probably with the groups. One or more group member has
probably been entered with an invalid email address. Chances are there may
be a pasted line-feed character in there somewhere too.

As a test, ask your wife to compose a short email message _in Entourage_ and
send it out to one of the groups where she gets that send error. I'd bet you
she still gets the same error.
