Yeah, I would say it is Entourage 2004 specific, I have not had issues like this in prior version of Entourage. I had the same issue on my previous quest to fix the anit-aliasing and text munging that Entourage was doing to monaco after upgrading to 2004. Mine was that certain character combinations would case a substitution of the those letters to change to a lowercase "o" with a "slash" in it. What makes me think this is a Entourage issue is that no other app I tested, and I tested all my installed apps, would exhibit this behavior. It was only Entourage. If you could test this out by making sure you are selecting the same font and try the same operations in another app, I would like to know if it goes away. In my case, the problem was with a font called "Pro Font". It is a monospaced font, to note, it only this this "o-slash" thing in Entourage, not in Bbedit, Textmate, Adium, etc. I had to use that font, as it is the only acceptable monospaced font that works around the anit-aliasing issues I have with Entourage. I hunted up Fontographer and opened the font, simply resaving it made the problem go away. In your case, life is a lot easier, there are tons of clean good copies of Times laying around, just replace yours, there is something about it Entourage is not liking. -- ------------------------------------------------------------- Scott Haneda Tel: 415.898.2602 <http://www.newgeo.com> Fax: 313.557.5052 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Novato, CA U.S.A. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
