Today, 3-10-2005, Launched Entourage 2004 for the second since time
since upgrading to v. 2004 while holding down the Option key.
In the resulting window, chose to:
 Verify Database
 Compact Database
 Then Rebuild Database
Prior to v 2004, when I did the equivalent, it was very easy in...
"/Users/bobgir/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004/
Identities/Earthlink account
...to dope out which was the old database because, guess what, Entourage
automatically labeled it "Old Database" and "Old Cache".
Now I find folders labeled thusly:
Earthlink account (Backed up 2-11-2005 15.46)
Earthlink Account (Backed up 2-11-2005 15.46) (Backed up 3-10-2005
17.39)
Earthlink Account (Backed up 2-11-2005 15.46) (Backed up 3-10-2005
17.40)
When I check out the Database Icon in each of these folders, from top to
bottom they reveal:
Created Thursday, March 10, 2005 5:40 PM; Modified Thursday March 10,
2005 5:59 PM
Created Friday, February 11, 2005 6:52 PM; Modified Thursday March
10, 2005 4:57 PM
Created Thursday, March 10, 2005 5:38 PM; Modified Thursday March
10, 2005 5:39 PM
This is like a game of "which walnut has the pea under it?".
Which of the three folders should I keep? Which delete?
TIA,
bob
