Barry,
    I don't think this answers my specific question.  I believe POP stores
sent mail in the client software, whereas IMAP stores sent mail on the
server where it is available to every computer.  The mail account is already
set as you suggest, and this works for all incoming mail.  The outgoing mail
is the problem.
