Importing contacts into the Sidekick is really simple; just export the Entourage contacts into a tab-separated text file, then import them using the Sidekick web page. ( https://my.t-mobile.com). With a Sidekick, you have a special web page associated with your phone, and your data is kept there, and then it is automatically updated onto the phone.
The web page has checkboxes for MS Outlook for PC, MS Outlook Express for Mac, Entourage for Mac, Palm Desktop for PC, and Palm Desktop for Mac. The problem I am having is that the T-Mobile/Sidekick script seems to only import 509 contacts, although Entourage says it exported 1163 contacts. I have experimented with totally deleting the address book on the T-mobile page, then going through the Export process from Entourage and importing it all over. And I can see that some of the contacts are missing from the Sidekick, but these same contacts are there when I read the .txt file Entourage produces. I don't see much of a pattern, except that the T-Mobile import process seems to get mostly the business phone numbers. How do I approach problem-solving this? I own two sets of Paul B's scripts, Import-Export EAB and also Export-Import Entourage X-135. I just tried the "Contacts-Group export from X" and it gave the same result - Reading the contact file you uploaded. Found 25 contacts. Found 50 contacts. Found 75 contacts. Found 100 contacts.
