That's a good idea. The way you'd do that, Joan, is to go into
Tools/Accounts/[either account]/Edit/Options. In the "Additional Headers box
enter "x-joan-rupert" (no quotes, no colon), and then in the box next to it
that appears, some content like "this message is from me" (no quotes).

Then make a rule that looks for

    <Specific header>   <x-joan-rupert> <contains>  <this message is from
me>


or even 

    <Specific header>   <x-joan-rupert> <exists>

At least Entourage can set this sort of rule. If you're using a different
mail client on another computer or server, you'd at least be able to search
the headers for the whole line, if not the specific header.
