I am running Tiger 10.4.1 and Entourage v11.1.0.
On a recent restart, when I launched Entourage, it had the appearance of an
Entourage launched for the first time. Everything was basically blank, just
like when you opened Entourage after installing M/S Office.
I quit it, then launched it again while holding down the option key.
First I clicked the radio button for <Verify database integrity>. Quit
Entourage then relaunched it. No change,
I quit it, then launched it again holding down the option key. This time I
selected <Rebuild database>.
Quit it and relaunched it: Again no change.
I finally went to a, thankfully recent, backup, dragged the databases from
there into the folder -
"/Users/rgirou/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004
Identities/Earthlink account [Backed up 2-11-2005 15.46]"
...chose Replace, then launched Entourage and I was up and running with
all my usual mailboxes.
Was there a better way to have handled this? Anyone have any idea why
Entourage suddenly reverted to a brand-new state?
