Yes.  Ask the sender to resend in either plain text or HTML (he can do
either).  He is sending in Outlook's proprietary RTF format (the default in
Outlook), which can't be read on a Mac (natively).

Alternatively, you could get TNEF's Enough (<http://1url.org/go/1tx9>) which
will decode these attachments.
