Title: Re: Sloooooooooooow email
OS 9 does not manage memory anywhere near as well as OS X, and this is most likely what is causing the slowness. This will happen to any OS 9 machine that doesn’t get restarted for days. I recommend a clean boot once every day.

I don’t often turn my computer off. After a while, my email functions like someone walking in glue. If I type fast, some letters don’t appear and I have to go back and fill in, which irritates me to no end. And when I want to move a window, it’s slow to move. But if I turn the computer off and restart, then the emails fast like it should be. So what causes this, and is the only solution to turn the computer off more often?

I use Entourage from Office 2001 on OS 9.
