I use a Palm Zire 21, and synchronize it with Entourage 2004 regularly. It
works pretty smoothly. The Zire 21 does not support multi-day events, but
even new devices that do won't synchronize them as multi-day events because
the Handheld Synchronization conduit for Entourage (available free in the
"Additional Tools" folder of Office 2004) was written before that feature
was available on the Palm. Categories do synchronize for contacts, but not
for calendar events.

Simply put, the Entourage conduit will only synchronize using the fields and
features available in the old Palm applications regardless of what kind of
Palm handheld you're actually using. You can read more about the various
synchronization options here:

Because Microsoft have announced that they intend to support Apple's Sync
Services in the future, it would be logical to assume that in the future,
Entourage will support synchronization with devices compatible with Sync
Services (in other words, not Pocket PC). That's not a reality yet though.
