1. quit entourage and all office apps

2. Open 'Activity Monitor' and quit the database daemon (see here for
details:
-9>

3. duplicate the identity folder in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office
X Identities/[your identity name] as many times as you have mail accounts,
giving the duplicates a sensible name

4. Start entourage

5. create a custom view Type: Messages; Location: All Folders; Criteria:
Mail account is not [name of a mail account]

6. when the custom view has finished findin all messages, select all and
delete.

7. choose 'switch identity' from the Entourage menu, and select a duplicate
identity.

8. repeat steps 5, 6 & 7 for each mail account, until you have all the
identities you wanted, each holding messages for just one mail account

9. restart entourage, holding down the option key until you see the rebuild
screen. Choose the first option to compact a database. Repeat this action
for each identity you created.

10. You're done :) you can now delete rules, contacts etc that don't apply
to each of the identities.
