Sorry...I must not have been clear. I asked about the model of handheld
because, in my experience, whether you have a true USB connection vs. a
Serial-to-USB adapter makes a difference in the HotSync connection setting.
And I asked about the version of Palm Desktop because the HotSync Manager is
part of the Palm Desktop install.

If you perform a clean install or an archive install of Tiger, the necessary
behind-the-scenes Palm software will go missing and require a reinstall of
the Palm software.
