I agree with Jan Martel's suggestions: leave the MUD folder where it is. There is no better home for it, for the reasons Martel points out (mainly backing up).
However, I agree with others that it would be good to have a better Notice and Warning message system that alerts first-time users to not move the MUD folder, not to rename it, and to be fully aware of its critical nature. I've no idea how this would be done, but I can imagine that it could be done with 1. Front page of the manual, help file, box Office came in. 2. Window that appears during the first time start up with Entourage. 3. Warning that appears if/when Entourage is forced to create a new MUD folder. That #3 one would be a very cool feature.
