I have found that when there is no "Main Identity" that Entourage
will sometimes create one. If you want to call the Identity something
else, make sure you still have a "Main Identity". Or, if the user has
moved the Microsoft User Data folder or changed the name of the
Documents folder to something else, this will also cause "identity"
crisis.

Entourage doesn't ever ask you to create a new one. If one doesn't
exist, it creates one named "Main Identity". Very likely, they are
logged in from a different user or they have changed the name of
some
part of the path.
Confirmed path location to identity area
Switch identities lists Main Identity and that is it, despite what
is in the
office 2004 identities folder. There is a database of over 1GB,
so her
email is there, kinda baffled on this one.
I will be on location shortly and probably figure it out, but this
one is
odd.
Searching the disk for a folder named "Main Identity" will very
likely yield more than one result.
