No, it isn't.  At least not until the space the deleted message(s) occupied
in the database is overwritten by new messages.  An alternative is to
compact the database (which removes "erased" space), but you wouldn't want
to do this just for a few deleted messages; compacting the database should
be done after deleting large quantities of data or when Entourage is acting
up (though the latter might also require a database rebuild).
