On another list to which I subscribe, a list member posted a URL that
spanned two lines. He tells me he posted using plain text in Apple's mail.
The list digest appeared in my inbox with the message in question containing
a URL enclosed in <>, but the brackets didn't confine the URL to a single
line. No invisible character was apparent at the end of the line within the
URL, but when I copied the URL to my browser's navigation bar, "%20 was
inserted at the linebreak and of course my browser couldn't direct me to the
referenced page.

Since the message was posted to the list in question (Powerlist) in plain
text, is it likely the invisible character was added by Entourage 2004 at my
end, by the mail listserv in the middle, or by Apple mail when it was sent?

(The original poster tells me he encloses URLs within "<>" so that they will
stay on one line, and when I've done that they usually leave my computer on
just one line.

Thanks for any insights.
