Whenever I select a mail message in the Mail pane of a project in Project
Center by clicking once on it, and then hit "Reply," a new message from me
is displayed in the Project Center mail list with a date of 1/1/04
(presumably 1904). Once I send the message, the oddly-dated message usually
goes away and is replaced with the message I just sent, but sometimes it
doesn't go away. Other times, it goes away and then reappears.

When I first noticed this happening, I thought maybe the database was
corrupted, but the DB utility found no problems at that time. Today, it
happened again, and when I poked around in some of my outgoing folders, I
found that some of my recently-sent messages had disappeared: instead, there
was a grey space where they would have appeared. This time, the DB utility
did find problems, so I selected "Repair" and it seems to have repaired
things, EXCEPT...

When I opened a new incoming message after repairing the database, it
contained what appears to be portions of a different incoming message.
Fortunately, neither message was important (one was a news update and the
other was a TicketMaster advertisement), but now I am wondering if I should
continue using this "repaired" database, or revert to the old one and try
repairing it again, or what?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,
