After I sent it, I, too, noticed the extra "(the" in the URL.  To avoid this
type of thing from happening (which seems to happen sporadically), I usually
just add a slash, an extra space, or a return at the end of the URL, but
using the brackets seems to ensure that no extra characters are added.  Both
http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/ (I added
no extra space or return at the end of the URL) and
<http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> seem to
work fine according to the copy of this I sent myself.
So... can one conclude that both manually-entered and pasted hyperlinks are,
in fact, clickable in e-mail sent from Entourage 11.2.3 (without using any
script, etc.)?
