Oh, right. That's what (most) people asked for back when Entourage 2001
showed only Today's and Tomorrow's tasks. (You're remembering 2001.) So they
changed it for X, and so it stays in 2004.

You might want to take a look at my shareware "Entourage Today" app from
 
 MacScripter.net   <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It puts Calendar and Tasks (and new messages, too, if you wish) into the
same window and lets you choose to display anything from 1 (Today) to 7
days. You can try it out in Demo for 14 days.
