Ernest,

You can adjust the display of every folder within Entourage, in my
experience.  Mine stay with the "view" that I chose previously, and they
always show the last selected file in the window, not necessarily at the
top.

In your case, if you set up each folder to sort the way you want by clicking
on the appropriate column(s), you should be set.

The gurus may have some additional ways to do this, so I'll be eager to see
other replies...
