Just to make certain you get a datapoint that your problem didn't stem from one machine being Intel, the other PowerPC. I do this all the time (copy my main identity from one computer to another. I've often been told to use an IMAP account to prevent problems such as those you describe, but sometimes I'll catch up on some of the unread debris in my inbox while on a long flight, and IMAP wouldn't help there. Actually, I use a syncronization utility (Synchronize! Pro X), which works very well. My Database file is about a gigabyte, but with gigabit ethernet it still takes less than a minute to accomplish the whole synchronization. The key thing is to remember to use just one installation of Office between synchronizations, and also to turn off alarms, because launching ANY MS Office application will change the modification date/time flag for your Entourage Database file, as will an alarm coming due.
