It certainly wouldn't hurt to remove Office and install fresh regardless of
what the installer implied.

First create a new Identity in Entourage and see if the problem exists
there. If yes then...

Test in a new user to rule out problems in your current user folder.

I would also apply the Apple combo updater. Doing so overwrites potentially
problem-causing files. Several users have reported this fixed some odd
problems they were having with Entourage.

In addition, make sure you have only one daemon in your Startup Items
(located in System Preferences --> Accounts). If you see more than one
Microsoft Database daemon, delete them all and let Entourage recreate a new
one.
