Unfortunately you're out of luck. I work in a similar environment
and happen to be the person who set up Sharepoint. I am the lone Mac
user and use Entourage for my Exchange mail. However, MS does not
provide decent support for Sharepoint outside of Windows. The
integration you're referring requires at least MS Office 2003.
It's a shame because there's a lot of neat stuff coming out with
Sharepoint and the Mac side of it is pretty hamstrung.
