Thanks to everybody for the replies, its amazing how sometimes if I had sat
down with clear head for a few minutes I would have probably solved my own
problems!! One reply mentioned folders for users and the main library having
fonts in ­ stupid me I use Tri-Backup which basically clones everything, so
simply went to those folders and put virtually everything that was in my
user folder and some from the main library folder (I could spot a load of
rubbish in there as well!!) and hey presto most things seem to be back to
normal!! (after running disk permissions which found loads to fix!)
