Helvetica has been the cause of much grief around here. Do you use an expanded family, or just the basic Roman/Bold/Italic/BoldItalic? Are you using a Font Management program like Suitcase or FontAgentPro? The issue here was that when Entourage asked for Helvetica, Helvetica Fractions would jump in, making the text unreadable.
