Hi- I am testing a beta release of 2008 (v. 12.0.0) now and the main improvement I see is that the hangs/beach balls of death seem to have totally disappeared. The pregnant hangs while syncing or opening emails with images in them is very quick. Very nice to have performance equal to Eudora in a MS product.
It doesn't appear that the sync options have changed from the 2004 version. But this is still beta and the tweaking of sync services probably isn't very high the list. This release doesn't even have Excel yet, so I would imaging they are pretty busy with core performance issues right now. They seem to be fairly responsive to the the suggestions submitted through the help menu, at least I know they read them and if enough people suggest it it gets on the development list. I'll try to play with the sync function with a clean profile if I get a chance to verify it, but it doesn't appear to be any different than 2004 sync options. -------------------------- Kurt D.
