I agree that this depeneds on what "bad" means.

Case 1: you get an Entourage error and the message remains in the Out Box:
In that case, nothing has been sent to anyone as either Entourage never
talked to the outgoing mail server or the error occurred early in the
communications protocol between Entourage and the mail server. As Beth
stated, this occurs because an address is syntactically invalid.

Case 2: the message leaves the Out Box and is moved (if appropriate) to
Sent Items and you then get a bounce message either from your outgoing
mail server or a downline mail server: In that case, delivery has been
attempted to all recipients and all valid recipients have or will receive
it. Once the outgoing mail server has the message, the order of delivery
to the various recipients is undefined so it may well have already been
delivered to some before the outgoing mail server gets an error on the bad
address.
