OK, so Entourage crashes. For some more often than others, but it crashes.
If you¹re not crashing Entourage, you¹re not using it hard enough. Switch to
mail.app and calendar.app.

And we¹re all really eager to get our hands on the new, faster, UB version
to be released this month.

So for those in the know, who are able to navigate the tortured straits of
the non-disclosure agreements:

Is the crash recovery behavior improved to the point where I don¹t need to
setup my windows again after a crash?

I know it¹s probably too late to report this, but after the third time in a
week, I just wanted to vent.

I keep mail, calendar and task windows open all the time on my 17² MB Pro.
If I want them out of the way I use apple-H (please don¹t eject me for use
of the ancient and obsolete lingo).

When Entourage crashes, usually with a beach ball spinning for five minutes
or more, and I restart Entourage, the Calendar window in particular is
really screwed up.

(If I¹m reopening an old subject that I slept through on this board, cut me
off and send me away, but I didn¹t find it in an archive search.)

The Calendar window is aligned in a different position, the mini-calendars
down the left side are missing, the width of the task field is different,
etc. In fact to get the mini-calendars back (here¹s an easter egg for you),
I have to switch to the address book view in the Calendar window, then back
to Calendar, at which point the mini calendar virtually fills the column,
obscuring the Calendar views list.

I¹ve tried quitting with the windows the way I want them and then restarting
Entourage; next crash they¹re back the way I¹ve described. I¹ve tried
shrinking the size of the window (in case some of it is outside legal
drawing boundaries), but still the same result.

Don¹t really expect a good answer, but I needed to vent.

Thanks for listenin¹,
Barry
