Hey All,

We just upgraded from Office 2004 to 2008 on my wife's new MacBook.

The migration seems to have gone well. It migrated the Entourage information
mostly in tact... changed some colors on some categories, but that's not a
big deal.

The issue that seems to be facing us right now is that the Sync Services
settings didn't migrate over. She uses Sync Services to mate up her
Entourage and her iPhone in that round-about way... Entourage 2004 has been
syncing up relatively nicely.

However... apparently after the migration to 2008, the new Entourage doesn't
'remember' that the old Entourage was all synced up. The royally sucks rock.

It's giving us 3 options, all of which look scary based on Entourage's sync
behavior in times past.

1. Combine Entourage/iCal-Address Book

My wife has about 8400 contacts, and if Combine doesn't mean sync, she's
going to have nearly 17,000 contacts, half of which are duplicates.

2. Overwrite iCal-Address Book

This is the option it looks like we're using. We may lose 50 Contacts that
didn't come over during the migration 2004 has 8457 Contacts, 2008 has
8404... no idea why or which ones.

3. Overwrite Entourage

Can't do this... here's why. The one thing that my wife uses that makes
Entourage completely invaluable are its Categories. She uses 16 of them...
no other program allows her to keep them intact.

Why would they do this to us...

Thanks for any insight,

-keith
