This morning I tried to remove a message from my Inbox, by selecting it and pressing the Delete key. The header disappeared, but then I watched in horror as all the other headers in my Inbox disappeared. One after another, they vanished, and I could not stop it. I did not press the Delete key long enough to trigger auto-repeat.
The messages were recoverable, but I had to go through several hundred headers in the Deleted Items folder, weeding out the ones that I wanted to keep, and manually moving them back to the Inbox. Undo did not work. Has anyone else seen this? Did I accidentally press some secret key combination? Is there an explanation? This was seen in Entourage 2004 (version 11.3.6), Mac Pro, Mac OS X 10.5.1, POP account. Preview pane was not displayed.
