A few comments, based on initial impressions.

I use a small set of Entourage's features, so I did not notice many changes
in moving from the 2004 to 2008 versions. I appreciate the customizable
toolbars, since that enables me to reduce visual clutter - I prefer to use
keyboard commands for basic email operations. The new icons are more
readable and prettier than the previous set. The purple color theme looks
odd, however. I wish I could change it.

The readability of the Calendar seems a bit worse, to my eyes, than the 2004
version. In particular, in the month view, the text for the current month
(in the grey bar above the calendar) is smaller than the text for the months
that appears in the day squares. The first time I looked at the calendar, I
thought it was showing the month of March, since that text was larger and
bolder than the text showing April, in the grey bar.

I'm seeing occasional redraw bugs in the Entourage browser window.
Sometimes I see duplicates of items in the message list. Sometimes the
items in the folder and view list (the leftmost pane) are incompletely
drawn, or not drawn at all.

I think the My Day window is really ugly. Fortunately, I don't use
Entourage for managing my task list, so I disabled all the functions of My
Day. Hopefully it will never pop up.

The search features are more powerful than in Entourage 2004. But I'm
disappointed that these functions are still split up, appearing in multiple
locations throughout the user interface, in different windows, and with
different UIs. I would prefer to see search consolidated into a single Find
window, with a consistent UI, but with controls that adapted appropriately
to context (when searching calendar, contacts, emails, IMAP server, etc.).
I would also prefer to see search strings persisting in this window, so I
don't have to re-enter the text if I close and reopen the Find window, or
change the search target.
