Hi All,

Just rejoining the list after a 90 day hiatus. For the life of me I could
not get the conformation code for LRP to be accepted as valid. I run a LRP
list and have been using Entourage since its Emailer roots so this was
particularly frustrating. ... I digress.

Entourage 12.0.1, Leopard 10.5.2, Two primary IMAP accounts, no POP usage.
I've got an IMAP folder, the junk folder, that has 284 "stuck" messages.
The messages are copies of messages from other folders. The junk folder is
somewhat unique when messages are not in those IMAP folder when I open them
up in Apple Mail so this is a quirk to my Entourage database.

The arrived after some sort of corruption event. Entourage continued to run
and the database verified as "OK". I cannot delete them using the delete
key, the delete icon, or the delete menu item. No change when refreshing or
repairing the message list. I do see Entourage flash up a status box when
repairing indicating 284 messages. Interestingly, I cannot mark them as read
or unread, but if I sit on a message Entourage will mark it read for me.
Other than these messages being stuck Entourage was working fine.

After numerous basic rebuilds I finally was ready for an advanced rebuild
knowing everything in terms of rules, etc. would need to be set up again.

To my surprise and distress after the advanced rebuild all of the messages,
good and bad, were intact - this is very different behavior to what I
experienced in Tiger where the cache was flushed. Unfortunately the stuck
message were still there stuck as before.

I did an advanced rebuild three times with the same results - no change with
old and new messages intact.

So ... Any good ideas before I delete the account and recreate them - the
ultimate purge? This at least allows me to keep my rules and mailing list
manager intact even though I will need to touch each one of them to
reconnect them with the specific account.
