Hi all, I have just upgraded to Office 2008 and I see the same error.
The Out of Office window appears briefly, and you can just barely see "Retriving Status" and the spinning gear, but the error dialog appears almost immediately. Nothing appears in the Progress window or the Console app (although I am seeing a lot of /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Microsoft Entourage.app/Contents/MacOS/Microsoft Entourage: CGGStackRestore: gstack underflow. But that's a different story!) All other mail functions appear to be fine, including the Free/Busy information which had stopped working in entourage 2004. The exchange server is 2000. The client is Ent 2008 12.0.0 (yes I have just downloaded the updater) on 10.4.11 PPC. Yes I have tried changing the authentication method to Kerberos, but I haven't restarted Entourage. (Is that necessary or does it pick up the new preferences immediately?)
