I think the whole model is hosed up. I have had a bunch of problems lately,
mainly because of switching to 10.5 and sync services.
What I really want is this:
Entourage to update iCal, WITHOUT trying to sync with Mobileme. It should
just manage the "entourage" calendar in iCal.
iCal should be the only thing syncing with mobileme. Nothing else should
touch it.
For my BB Pearl, I had to give up on pocketmac, it got into a state where it
would crash everytime I tried to run it. Guess why? It insists on syncing
with mobileme in addition to iCal. It should just stick to syncing with
ical, managing the pocketmac calendar, but it will not. Switched to
MissingSync, and that is better. At least it leaves mobileme alone.
In my opinion, this is the only way this is ever going to work right, and I
wish the programs involved proved enough flexibility to let me set it up
this way. But they don't. Sigh.
