I was wondering what is the general tree type in the woods near you? I also
think it would be nice to list where we are from for the newbies to the group.
I'll start...I am from St. Louis Missouri and I see generally hardwoods, oaks
and hickories, with a smattering of Eastern Red Cedar, esp. in disturbed areas,
and shortleaf pine, if you look for it. You do see other evergreens, blue
spruce. loblolly, scotch pine, austrian pine, etc., but these have been planted.
