Joe and Ed:

The high brow banter you have been engaging in related to science and math
and the quantification of forest health in an authentic or real world basis
for measurement is very thought provoking from a number of standpoints and I'm
looking forward to seeing where it leads.

I would like to add that the term "forest health" is well on the way to
being bastardized as badly as the term "sustainable" has and the some sort of
real world non industrial definition of forest health is probably overdue.
