The problem with humans and deer hunting is the typical hunter wants a
buck, and will not shoot the does, because they will make more bucks.
In the long run you end up with many many does.  Pa. has recently
addressed this situation, by limiting the bucks you can harvest and
increasing the doe permits in certain areas.  Locally, it appears to
be working.  I personally hunt for the environment, and have taken 13
does from my neighborhood in the past four years and only two buck.
We have coyotes in SE Pa but I have never seen one.  They do eat
fawns, so I hope they do get established here soon.
