I'm headed to Florida in early April (Suwannee River area--Manatee Springs, etc.). I'll keep an eye out for exceptional trees.
I need to go back to Juniper Prairie Wilderness in Ocala. While on a canoe trip down Juniper Run, I spotted a really huge cypress not far from shore. If I'd been alone I'd have beached and hiked to it. Next time I go there (we're planning a return trip within the year), I'm going to make a point out of doing just that. It's not a champion caliber tree or anything...just a really big cypress. If I do make it back, I'll at least try to get a CBH mesurement. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Eastern Native Tree Society http://www.nativetreesociety.org You are subscribed to the Google Groups "ENTSTrees" group.
